Welcome to the web site of the Connecticut Rubber Group, a subdivision of the Rubber Division, American Chemical Society.

The purpose of the Connecticut Rubber Group is the promotion of a better understanding of rubber technology and related subjects as well as social and educational activities among the members of the rubber industry in Connecticut and surrounding territory.

Annual Chairman's Message

As we conclude another successful year I would like to share some highlights and updates on all the meetings and events for the rest of the year.

Our most recent event, the Plant Tour at Rockbestos, East Granby, CT was a great success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The dinner after the tour was held at the Tunxis Grill, Windsor, CT and was a resounding success with great food, service and ambience. The event was very well attended with a total of 60 guests from both the CRG and NERPG.

The always-popular Golf Outing was once again held at the Traditions Golf Club, Wallingford, CT on June 16th. The attendance increased over the prior year with 38 golfers and guests in attendance. As usual the dinner was held at the club and was enjoyed by all. We will be returning to the Traditions once again on June 21st with some minor changes to the event, stay tuned.

One final note, I would like to thank our outgoing Chairman, Warren Smith, for his contribution to the CRG. Also, I want to personally thank Carrie Burr for all her help in getting the event notices out to the membership and to Tom Jablonowski for maintaining the website and to Juan Cardona for his continued management of our Financial affairs.

Finally, I want to thank all the members for your support of the Connecticut Rubber Group through your continued membership and attendance at the group's events. The CRG can only continue to exist through your continued participation.
