The 1990 Executive Board
Just 10 years ago the CRG newsletter was a one page, 10 font, black and white insert that was mailed along with the meeting announcement. It listed the Group's Executive Board Members, meeting dates, education program and a 3 line membership form at the bottom of the page that asked for your name, company name and mailing address.

Winter 1990 Meeting
The winter meeting on February 8th was held at Rapp's Paradise Inn (as were the other two meetings), and it highlighted our first wine tasting after dinner program. This event was so popular it was decided to discontinue the after dinner speaker and keep the wine tasting for future winter meetings.
Dinner price $20.00, choice of Roast Prime Rib of Beef or Lobster Tails.

The Spring Technical Meeting was on April 26th, which coincided with the last day of our first Rubber Mixing Course (April 24-26) . That was one hectic day! Shortly after it was decided the mixing course would replace the Spring Technical Meeting.

First Annual CRG Mixing Course
1990 marked the first year for the CRG Mixing Course. The course was entitled "Mixing of Rubber Compounds" and was held at The Quality Inn Conference Center in New Haven.
Enrollment was 56 students from the US and Canada.
The course fee was $275 (it's now $450). Fee included a bound course binder, 3 lunches, 1 group dinner and CRG Technical Meeting and Dinner at Rapp's following the course.
Golf and Tennis Outing and Dinner
The annual golf and tennis outing was held on June 21st at The Whitney Farms Golf Course and The Trumbull Racquet Club.
Golf and Dinner: $75.00,
Tennis and Dinner: $60.00.

Our third annual baseball trip to Yankee Stadium, where the Boston Red Sox battled the New York Yankees was held on Sept 23.
